Estancos are tobacco shops that sell other useful things, including:

- Metro, city bus and cercanías monthly tickets (first time you get this you need documentation, such as a passport or DNI card, and a passport-sized photo)

- Postage stamps

- Phone cards

- "Papel de estado" -these are special "money" notes used to pay for certain government services, such as residency permits.

Open from monday to saturday.
